Shooting Video for Photographers, and how to keep your own style
Many of the skills you have are directly transferable. Philip Lee Harvey, an award-winning photographer and experienced filmmaker, will share his approach to making short films. Having worked as a director and cameraman, Philip will show you how to create storyboards, choose the right equipment for your project, and explain how and when cameras should move, from drones to handheld situations. He will also discuss essential lighting, recording sound, and using different frame rates. The workshop will conclude with planning your edit, mixing sound, and colour correction.
Philip has always kept true to his photographic style, from his early behind-the-scenes films documenting his adventures to award-winning promotional films for luxury resorts, tourist boards, and charities. This workshop is designed to help photographers expand their understanding of how to transition to shooting video. Aimed at all photographers who want to create video content, this one-hour workshop will explain why, as a photographer, you are already part of the way to making great videos.
