Minimalism and Light Painting
In this focus group we will look at how lighting can transform ordinary objects. I will provide examples of leaves, flowers, and other subjects to the group. My goal is to inspire others to think outside the box and develop their own techniques while photographing their preferred subjects.
Born and raised in St.Petersburg, Russia, I was exposed to the arts as a child and fell in love with the lighting and color that surrounded the city. I began expressing myself creatively through coloring books and photography as a child. About 5 years ago, I discovered light painting which allowed me to combine my passion for coloring and photography. I began experimenting and, as a result, developed my own light painting technique. I am currently working with leaves, flowers, and experimenting with larger subjects such as people and cars.
